Carpet Cleaners NW5 Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Carpet Cleaners NW5 provides professional carpet, rug, upholstery and related cleaning services to residential and commercial clients. By booking a service, you agree that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions and that they form a binding agreement between you and Carpet Cleaners NW5.
Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings set out below:
Client means the individual, company or organisation booking cleaning services with Carpet Cleaners NW5.
Premises means the property or location where the services are to be carried out.
Services means any carpet, rug, upholstery, hard floor, mattress, curtain or related cleaning and ancillary services supplied by Carpet Cleaners NW5.
Technician means a person employed by or contracted to Carpet Cleaners NW5 to perform the services.
Agreement means the contract between Carpet Cleaners NW5 and the Client incorporating these Terms and Conditions together with any written confirmation of booking.
Scope of Services
Carpet Cleaners NW5 provides professional cleaning services tailored to carpets, rugs, upholstery and other soft furnishings, together with related treatments such as stain removal, deodorising and protection, as agreed at the time of booking.
The exact scope of work for each visit is based on the information given by the Client at the time of booking, the condition of the items to be cleaned and the time available. Any additional services requested on site are subject to the Technician's discretion and may incur additional charges.
All services are subject to availability and to these Terms and Conditions.
Booking Process
Bookings may be requested by the Client through an online form or other written enquiry, or by verbal request. A booking is only confirmed when Carpet Cleaners NW5 issues a clear confirmation of the appointment date, time window and quoted price or pricing basis.
The Client must provide accurate information regarding the Premises and the items to be cleaned, including the approximate room sizes, number and type of items, level of soiling, presence of pets, difficult stains, access restrictions, parking arrangements and any known defects.
Carpet Cleaners NW5 reserves the right to revise or cancel a booking where the information provided is incorrect or incomplete, or where it is not reasonably practicable to deliver the services safely and effectively.
The Client is responsible for ensuring that someone with authority to grant access is present at the Premises at the agreed time. Failure to provide access may be treated as a late cancellation and may incur a charge.
Pricing and Quotations
Prices may be given as a fixed quote for specified services or as an estimate based on information supplied by the Client. All prices are stated in pounds sterling and, where applicable, are inclusive of value added tax or similar sales tax unless expressly noted otherwise.
Quotations are based on normal conditions and reasonable access. If on arrival the Technician finds that the work required materially exceeds what was described, or requires significantly longer time, specialist equipment or additional staff, Carpet Cleaners NW5 may either adjust the price by agreement with the Client or decline to proceed with part or all of the service.
Any parking fees, congestion charges or access-related costs reasonably incurred in attending the Premises may be added to the final invoice and are payable by the Client.
Payments and Invoicing
Unless agreed otherwise in writing, payment for residential services is due on completion of the service visit, and payment for commercial services is due in accordance with the payment terms set out on the invoice.
Carpet Cleaners NW5 accepts common forms of payment such as card payments and bank transfers. The currently accepted payment methods will be notified to the Client at the time of booking or on the invoice.
Time for payment is of the essence. If payment is not received by the due date, Carpet Cleaners NW5 reserves the right to charge interest on the overdue amount at the statutory rate, together with any reasonable administrative and recovery costs associated with collecting the debt.
Where payment is to be made by a third party, such as a managing agent, landlord or employer, the Client remains ultimately responsible for ensuring full payment is made in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
The Client may cancel or reschedule a booking by giving prior notice. Where possible, at least 24 hours notice should be provided for residential work and at least 48 hours notice for larger or commercial jobs.
Carpet Cleaners NW5 reserves the right to apply a cancellation charge where insufficient notice is given, where the Technician cannot gain access to the Premises at the agreed time, or where the Client fails to provide a safe working environment such that the service cannot reasonably be carried out. In such cases, a missed appointment fee or a percentage of the quoted price may be charged to cover costs incurred.
In the event of severe weather, transport disruption, illness, equipment failure or other circumstances beyond reasonable control, Carpet Cleaners NW5 may need to cancel or reschedule a booking. In such cases, the Client will be offered the next available appointment but no compensation will be payable for any inconvenience or loss.
Client Obligations
The Client agrees to:
Provide safe and reasonable access to the Premises and areas to be cleaned, including suitable parking where possible.
Ensure that water and electricity are available at the Premises for the duration of the service unless otherwise agreed.
Remove fragile items, valuables and personal belongings from the areas to be cleaned and ensure that furniture and other items are moved where necessary, unless this has been arranged as part of the service.
Inform Carpet Cleaners NW5 of any defects, wear, damage, loose fittings, colour instability, prior cleaning treatments or other issues that could affect the cleaning process or outcome.
Supervise children, pets and vulnerable persons and keep them away from equipment, chemicals and wet surfaces during and after the cleaning process.
Service Delivery and Limitations
Technicians will use reasonable care and skill, professional cleaning methods, and appropriate equipment and products to deliver a high standard of service. However, results will vary depending on the age, condition, fibre type, construction and prior treatment of the items to be cleaned, as well as the nature and age of stains and soiling.
No guarantee is given that every stain will be removed or that items will be restored to a like new condition. Certain stains, including but not limited to those from dyes, bleach, heavy traffic wear, permanent marker, paint and some pet-related contamination, may be permanent and not removable by cleaning.
Drying times are indicative estimates only and depend on temperature, humidity, ventilation and fibre type. The Client is responsible for ensuring adequate ventilation and for taking care when walking on recently cleaned or damp areas.
Health, Safety and Access
Carpet Cleaners NW5 operates in accordance with relevant health and safety legislation and industry practices. Technicians may decline to carry out work if, in their reasonable judgment, conditions at the Premises present an unacceptable risk to health, safety or security.
The Client must inform Carpet Cleaners NW5 of any hazards at the Premises, such as loose wiring, trip hazards, contamination, infestation, or other risks that may affect the safe delivery of the services.
Where safe access is not available or is withdrawn, Carpet Cleaners NW5 may treat this as a cancellation by the Client and may charge a reasonable fee for the aborted visit.
Waste Handling and Environmental Compliance
Carpet Cleaners NW5 is committed to managing waste and cleaning residues in compliance with applicable environmental and waste management regulations. Any waste generated in the course of the services will be handled in a responsible manner.
Where dry waste such as debris from vacuuming or pre-clean preparation is left at the Premises, the Client is responsible for its subsequent disposal using appropriate domestic or commercial waste facilities.
Liquid waste, including dirty water and cleaning solutions, will normally be disposed of via appropriate drainage points at the Premises, such as toilets or utility sinks, in accordance with local waste water regulations. The Client consents to the use of such drainage points for the disposal of waste water arising from the services.
Items that may be classified as controlled waste or that require special handling, such as sharps, biohazard materials or regulated substances, will not be removed or disposed of by Carpet Cleaners NW5 unless specifically agreed in writing and in compliance with relevant waste legislation. If such materials are discovered, work may be suspended and the Client will be responsible for arranging appropriate specialist disposal.
Liability and Limitations
Carpet Cleaners NW5 will exercise reasonable care and skill in the performance of the services. In the unlikely event of accidental damage directly caused by a Technician, Carpet Cleaners NW5 will, at its option, repair the damage, arrange a suitable repair by a third party, or compensate the Client to a fair and reasonable level having regard to the age, condition and value of the item at the time of the incident.
The Client must report any alleged damage or loss as soon as reasonably practicable and in any event within 48 hours of completion of the services, providing clear details and allowing reasonable access for inspection. Failure to report within this timeframe may affect the ability to investigate and resolve the issue.
Carpet Cleaners NW5 will not be liable for:
Pre existing damage, staining, wear, fading, discolouration, shrinkage, dye bleed, loose seams, fraying or other defects whether visible or not prior to cleaning.
Damage or deterioration arising from the Client's failure to follow aftercare instructions or to provide suitable ventilation or drying conditions.
Any indirect or consequential loss including, without limitation, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, loss of use, or inconvenience.
Any loss or damage arising from inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by the Client regarding the Premises or the items to be cleaned.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other matter which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Complaints and Service Issues
Carpet Cleaners NW5 aims to provide a reliable and professional service. If the Client is dissatisfied with any aspect of the services, they should raise the issue as soon as possible, preferably within 24 hours of completion.
Where a complaint is justified and relates to the standard of cleaning, Carpet Cleaners NW5 may offer a re visit to re clean the affected area, or an appropriate partial refund, at its discretion. Re cleaning is subject to the Client providing reasonable access and taking reasonable steps to preserve the condition of the cleaned items.
Force Majeure
Carpet Cleaners NW5 shall not be in breach of this Agreement nor liable for delay in performing, or failure to perform, any of its obligations if such delay or failure results from events, circumstances or causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disasters, strikes, transport disruption, utility outages, accidents, civil unrest or public health emergencies.
Personal Data and Confidentiality
Carpet Cleaners NW5 may collect and process personal data such as names, addresses and contact details in order to manage bookings, deliver services and administer accounts. Personal data will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and will not be sold to third parties.
Technicians will treat information relating to the Client and the Premises as confidential and will not disclose it to third parties except where required to do so by law, to perform the services, or to recover unpaid fees.
Amendments to Terms
Carpet Cleaners NW5 may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in law, best practice or service provision. The version in force at the time of booking will apply to that booking. Clients are encouraged to review the Terms and Conditions periodically.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
The parties agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or their subject matter or formation.
Severability
If any provision or part provision of these Terms and Conditions is found by a court or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision or part provision shall, to the extent required, be deemed to be deleted, and the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not be affected.
Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions, together with any written booking confirmation or invoice, constitute the entire agreement between Carpet Cleaners NW5 and the Client in relation to the services and supersede any prior discussions, correspondence or understandings.
By proceeding with a booking, the Client acknowledges that they have read and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
